Garage door & opener installation · Metro Vancouver

New door, new opener, or a full conversion — installed so it runs quiet and stays safe.

Aroundtown installs residential steel and wood garage doors, LiftMaster operators, spring conversions, and weather seal across Delta and the Lower Mainland. The owner does the work. The door is tested on site before we leave.

Same-day service when the schedule allows · Safety report included with installs

How an Aroundtown install works

Step 01

Talk through the door

Call or book online. We confirm opening size, headroom, door type (steel, wood, insulated), and whether you need a new operator, jackshaft, or just hardware.

Step 02

Prepare the garage

Use the checklist below the day before. A clear floor and empty driveway is the difference between a two-hour install and a long afternoon.

Step 03

Install, balance, test

Old door out, new sections and hardware in, springs wound to the door, limits and force set, sensors aligned, remotes programmed. You get a working, balanced door.

Pre-install checklist

Complete this before we arrive so the door can be pulled, stood, and cycled safely. This matches the longer list on our before-installation page.

  • Move everything at least 10 ft (3 m) back from the front and sides of the garage.
  • Bikes, toys, and hanging storage come down. The door has to travel the full opening more than once.
  • Cars out of the garage and off the driveway before we get there.
  • Sweep debris so we are not kneeling in grit while setting bottom brackets and sensors.
  • Take decorations off the old door — lights, wreaths, plants, signs.
  • Stay clear of the opening while the old door comes out and the new one goes in. This is tensioned equipment.

If you need the garage cleared for you, email service@aroundtowngaragedoors.ca or call and we will figure it out.

After the install

We set limits and force, test the safety sensors, cycle the door, and walk you through the remotes, keypad, and the manual release. Keep the tracks clean, do not oil the nylon rollers with heavy grease, and call when the door first starts to sound different — that is cheaper than waiting for a spring or cable to fail.

Planned maintenance is a phone call. A yearly inspection catches loose hinges, worn cables, and openers that are working too hard.
